Der Gedanke dahinter war einfach: Wer wissen will, ob man in einer neuen Domäne schnell etwas Funktionierendes bauen kann, sollte es an einem Ort testen, an dem man nicht ausweichen kann. The thinking behind it was simple: if you want to know whether you can build something that actually works in a new domain, and build it fast, test it somewhere you can't dodge the question.

Format: 22 Teams aus 11 Ländern traten an, 12 davon erreichten die Qualifying-Runde. Wir kamen bis ins Finale bei der ILA Berlin am 11. Juni 2026. Entwicklungszeit: 14 Wochen, komplett nebenberuflich. Auflage: keine Hardware-Modifikationen — nur handelsübliche Parrot Anafi und DJI Tello Drohnen, unverändert. Format: 22 teams from 11 countries entered, 12 of them reached the qualifying round. We made it to the final at ILA Berlin on June 11, 2026. Development time: 14 weeks, entirely on the side. Constraint: no hardware modifications — only off-the-shelf Parrot Anafi and DJI Tello drones, unmodified.

Verloren haben wir nur gegen ein Team, das seit sechs Jahren an genau diesem Thema arbeitet — unter 22 Teams aus 11 Ländern reichte es für den zweiten Platz insgesamt. Für ein Team, das 14 Wochen zuvor noch keine Drohne geflogen hatte, war das ein Ergebnis, das viele der Beteiligten selbst überrascht hat. We only lost to a team that has been working on exactly this subject for six years — among 22 teams from 11 countries, that was enough for second place overall. For a team that hadn't flown a single drone 14 weeks earlier, it was a result that surprised even many of the people involved.
